Nintendo announced yesterday that the Nintendo 3DS was going to have Netflix support and a new Super Mario game. However, it seems as though in Germany it is going to be near impossible to get your hands on the upcoming Nintendo 3DS. At present only 100 3DS handhelds are available per major retailers in the country.

It seems as though the shortage is down to the fact that Nintendo are still yet to place a figure on how much they expect to sell at launch.

Media Market Bayreuth’s Thomas Adler, noted:

‘If we recall the launch of the DS, the sales began relatively slow,’ he began, explaining that, similar to its predecessor, ‘important titles are missing.’

It will be interesting to see if the Nintendo 3DS can push decent sales or will it be a bit of a disappointment for Nintendo.

I just had to write about this game, because its made by a company called Team Ninja! The game is Ninja Gaiden 3 and this is the official trailer that will be launched at GDC (Game Developer’s Conference).

This trailer doesnt really show any of the gameplay, but it looks amazingly cool! I dont know much about the Ninja Gaiden series myself, but this game I might have to give you guys a hands on demo.

It also hints at the fact that Ninja Gaiden 3 will appear at this years E3 in June, which I really want to attend.

Dustin Browder has revealed that the Heart of the Swarm expansion for Starcraft 2 will have its own ladder for any player upgrading to the expansion.

I find this a little strange, because when all three games for Starcraft 2 have been released there will be three seperate ladders. This all seems a little pointless considering that the first Starcraft 2 ladder will never be used again. I always thought the aim of the ladder is to have the best players in the world playing in one place at a time!

Dustin also stated that there are plans to release a bunch of new maps for the multiplayer experience that will address a lot of issues that fans have raised with the current map pool. These maps, he said, will hopefully be added within the next few weeks.

Call of Duty: Black Ops now has its official first DLC. Xbox 360 owners, prepare to sacrifice more of your life on the altar of Call of Duty: Black Ops, when the game receives its first expansion pack this Tuesday, February 1.

The DLC will feature four original maps, one new zombie map, and will be released as an Xbox 360 exclusive, although it is just a matter of time before the PC and PS3 both receive the additional maps.

Lord of Arcana is a game that looks like it could become quite popular. As Slayers in Lord of Arcana, players undertake a quest to regain lost memories and acquire the power of the Arcana. Rockstar Games has announced that LA Noire will be available in North America on May the 17th and Europe on May the 20th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

LA Noire is being developed at Team Bondi and includes cutting edge facial animation technology Motionscan which uses 32 HD cameras to accurately pick up actor’s facial performances making the game’s facial animations the most realistic to date.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has just released a patch for the PS3 version. There are lots of fixes to this patch, so take a look at the full list below.

New Features:

• New contracts added to the rotation.
• Added optional pre-match timer for LAN / System-Link games.

Issues Addressed:

• Fixed freeze associated with larger games.
• Improved reliability of players connections to one another.
• Improved ability to bring parties to the game lobby. Late party joiners would try to connect to previous lobby host and be denied if new joiners trigger a lobby host migration.
• Addressed an issue where the Host encounters and infinite spinning loading circle after a Host migration.
• Fixed a timing specific, long/infinite loading screen when joining games (sometimes giving you “Error – Read error (0×80010713) on file <map name>”).
• Fixed a timing-specific freeze when host powered down during host migration.
• Cleaned up the map search filter in the Community section (deleted unused entries).
• Fixed Combat Training’s “USE FRIENDS” option for bots names.

Gameplay Tuning:

• Second Chance – players that put an enemy into Second Chance are now credited for a full kill once that enemy dies. If another player kills the enemy while the enemy is in Second Chance, they will get assist credit.
• Adjustments to the PSG1 with attachments.
• AK74U adjustments.
• RCXD adjustments.
• Silenced sniper rifle adjustments.
• Removed hit markers when shooting friendly equipment.

Warner Bros. have announced when they will release Mortal Kombat. UK PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will have the joy of exploring new fatalities on April 18th, while US fans will get their chance on April 19th.

It has been revealed that Portal 2 will be playable not just on the PC version, but on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions as well.

You’ll only be able to actually create these mods on a PC, Faliszek told NowGamer, but “the content that comes out is agnostic, and so we will be seeing that on all the platforms. Depending on the platform you’re on I should say, will depend on how we’re delivering it.”

PS3 will use Steamworks, and the PC will presumably use the usual mod portals, with installations made through Steam. No word on how it’ll work for the 360 yet.

Faliszek added: “There’s just a lot of value in engaging the community because they’re smart, they’re thinking of really cool things and we want to be able to have everyone share that.”

It has been noticed that almost half of all games released for the Xbox 360 Kinect has been created by UK developers.

Rare and Frontier are perhaps the most notable – making Kinect Sports and Kinectimals respectively.
