ROOT Gaming has just had an amazing MLG where most of their players performed really well. Additionally, the growing team has just added three new sponsors.
You have to love Idra for being a monster troll. Here is his comments about his MLG games and especially his games against HuK.

Team Empire seems to getting together an amazing roster for their Russian based Starcraft 2 team.
Former Warcraft 3 pro gamer Dmitry “Happy” Kostin has just joined Team Empire, who already has Kas and Beastyqt on their team.
“I will play team matches and some online cups, but for now I don’t have plans to play any LAN tournaments in the near future,” says Happy but mentions that he will see how it will turn out to be later on.
Head manager of Empire’s Starcraft 2 Squad, Alexander “StrangeR” Solomonov – “Happy was the best WarCraft III player of Russia and one of the best in the world, undoubtedly he will become best in StarCraft II too,” says Solomonov on the team’s webpage.
While at the same time Team Empire have dropped Bly and Outside from their squad.
Idra is known for his rage against other players and now someone has put together a great video compilation of his greatest rage moments.

It seems as though Dragon Age II is killling it on Xbox 360 compared to other consoles. More than half of Dragon Age II sales in the UK are on the Xbox 360 console. It seems as though Xbox 360 sales are outpacing PS3 sales of Dragon Age II which only has around 22 percent of the total sales.
[Thanks, Eurogamer!]

There are rumours of another MMO to be released in 2012 that will probably just flop like the rest of them. Transformers MMO is set to be released in 2012 by RuneScape developer Jagex.
There arent a lot of details about this new MMO at the moment.
Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard was certainly enthused at the news: “There is a huge appetite for an online Transformers game and we will utilize every bit of our development and publishing expertise to deliver a dynamic and action-packed game that Transformers fans will find irresistible.”

There have been a lot of reports this morning about yet another Resident Evil movie. Resident Evil 5 is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 14th 2012 from Sony Pictures.
“Haters are gonna hate, but the franchise has its certain charms and I’m looking forward to what video game elements they decide to include in this new film,” Capcom’s jgonzo said on the Unity website.
It’s set after the events of the fourth movie, Afterlife, which made an eye-watering $236 million at the box office. It will, of course, come in stereoscopic 3D.

At GDC 2011 (Game Developer Conference) Team Meat have announced they have sold more than 400,000 copies of Super Meat Boy on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. Super Meat Boy received a huge amount of time promoted on the Xbox Live Arcade and it seems to have paid off nicely for the team.
Super Meat Boy is a great platformer that is amazingly challenging, so its little surprise to me that they had outstanding sales.

Here is the first glimpse of actual in-game footage from Battlefield 3 as a U.S. Marine squad engages hostile forces in Iraqi Kurdistan.

It seems as though Plants vs Zombies is now on every device all over the world! The latest game to add in a Plants vs Zombies emulator in LittleBigPlanet 2.
However, it seems as though the emulator in LittleBigPlanet 2 is a bit to close to copyright infringement! Thus, make sure you get it while its still around, because Im sure it isnt going to be around for long unless they can sign a licensing deal with Popcap.

Finally Gran Turismo 5 will be getting a mid-race save feature for endurance races! Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi said in a tweet that these are currently “under development.”
There are still no specific on the addition or when it will be added, but Im sure it wont actually take them too long to implement.
There is nothing worse than doing a 24 hour race and getting only 4 hours in and having to leave!
