Here is an awesome speed run which sees Quake finished on Nightmare difficulty in 48 minutes. I always thought the original Quake was a lot longer than it really is. However, when it is completed in 48 minutes of course it seems very short!

UK retailer GAME has announced some very interesting facts. That seems to be a very high amount, 25 per cent of their entire revenues come from pre-owned sales. That’s up four per cent from last year.

Activision has announced that Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars will be released on the 18th February in the UK. The game will feature 20 story-based missions and an additional 40 bonus levels, and the intriguing bonus of controlling a droid army in an RTS-style game mode.

UKs largest high street retailers, such as Gamestation and Game, are planning to stop selling Steamworks titles like Civilization 5 and Call of Duty unless publishers remove Valve’s software.

GamesIndustry is reporting that APB was acquired by K2 Network for around £1.5 million. K2 has had great success with free-to-play games and im sure they will relaunch APB into a free-to-play game.

Treyarch has claimed that as of 1:00am PST, over 1 million users logged into Xbox Live to play Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Yes, the Champions Online MMORPG will be completely free to play and then users will be able to purchases premium content from the in-game store. In game purchasing has been very popular for casual gaming and its slowly making its way across to other gaming areas.

EA has announced that a demo for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit will be available this week. The Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit demo will be available from 26 October on XBL / 27 October for PSN, and offer players a chance to try the game’s in-built social network, the Autolog.

It seems as though Microsoft are going to launch another crappy online video game download store. The product is called the Games For Windows Marketplace and it will be offering on-demand PC games.
