It has been confirmed that Valve is working on a new Counter Strike game and it will be announced today! The new Counter Strike will be called: Global Offensive. There are rumours of another MMO to be released in 2012 that will probably just flop like the rest of them. Transformers MMO is set to be released in 2012 by RuneScape developer Jagex.

A far as I am concerned there is no competition, fifa take’s it for me hands down. The transfer season is fantastic, others teams get involved in it as well as you, the press conferences can be funny, the little personal touches are cool and there are just so many teams and leagues form all over the world.

Atari have announced they are developing Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale. Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale is an action RPG for 1 to 4 players to take on ‘the evil Rezlus and his Zhentarim in their attempt to invade and conquer the Dalelands’.

Gaikai, the game streaming service, has sent out their first round of invites to around 11,000 users. David Perry the CEO of Gaikai announced the news in a blog post that the first 1,000 invites were sent out on Sunday and were followed by a further 10,000 this week.

At the Activision Investment conference it was basically confirmed that Bungie are in fact already making an online game for both PC and consoles. It will be the first PC game Bungie has handled since Oni in 2001, as the release of Halo 1 and 2 were handled by external developers.

A new report has stated that 47.5 million American citizens play massively multiplayer online games. 90 per cent of these are free-to-play. That leaves 12.5 million people in the country paying for their MMO game time.
