Blur is Roadblasters on Steroids
For those you racing fans out there that got a kick out of Need for Speed or games like Burnout, then Blur is definitely going to be a game you’ll want to be on the look out for. The game combines traditional racing with a unique battle system to blast your opponents out of the race. The graphics are stunning, the racing looks spot on, and the attacks look amazing.
Developed by Bizarre Creations, the game uses real world cars and locations as the backdrop for their game. You’ll recognize car brands of all types as you race through what is sure to be very memorable locations. Blue follows a career mode that sets you up as a driver that interacts with others through a series of social networking messages with video clips of other races doing amazing things. You’ll encounter some interesting characters as you progress through the game with many licensed cars ranging from Dodge Vipers to Lotus Exiges to Ford Transit Vans fitted with F1 engines.
Unlike other racing games, this game has full damage modeling so when cars get hit the damage shows. Want to protect your car from damage, then kick in the shield to protect your health and damage bars. Not all cars are straight from the real world. Some of the designs have come straight from the minds of Bizarre Creations.
The game is multiplayer, with up to 4 players on a split screen. Take the game online with up to 20 players maximum which makes racing an amazing experience as opposed to playing with the games’s AI.
