It has been revealed in Japan that Sony will be releasing a white Playstation 3 slim that will be hitting store shelves July 29th. As well as the nifty paint job there will be a drive size increase.

Instead of the 120 GB and 250 GB models, that we all know and love, buyers will be able to get the new 160 GB and 320 GB models. The price? The 160 GB models will be retailing for ¥29,980 (USD$340), while the 320 GB will set you back ¥34,980 (USD$400). Nothing surprising there.

No news yet as to whether the rest of the world will be seeing these White PS3, but I wouldn’t bet against the idea.
