If  you recognise the picture above then good for you, if you didn’t then that’s fine too. The picture it’s from an old game that goes by the name of UFO : Enemy Unknown although for some reason it would later be called XCOM : Enemy Unknown.

Let’s get this said; UFO and its sequel were brilliant games, they are brilliant games still. I’d urge you to get a copy, seriously go get them now, this video can wait. You see the Xcom games, the classic ones were strategy games, a game split up into the Geoscape, where you’d have to buy bases, facility, do research and generally do everything you could to prepare for the aliens, and the Battlescape where you’d command your soldiers in a tactical combat phase, generally you’d be investigate a crashed (Shot down) UFO or saving a town from invasion.

It’d take far too long to explain why these games are so good so i’ll come to my point. While this video looks good, hell it looks like it could be a very fun game indeed with its 50s-esque  alien invasion feel, it’s actually quite unique… apart from being a FPS but dammit it’s not an XCOM game.
