Gaikai is a service that allows users to play games in your browser, directly from the cloud. Gaikai runs and hosts the games, which are then streamed to the end-user with the help of Java, Flash or Silverlight.

The Apple iPad’s browser doesn’t support Flash, but Gaikai will now allow you to play World of Warcraft directly on your iPad.

The entire thing would be far more credible if we had a video, but it poses some interesting questions: could it be used for playing graphically intensive games on the iPad?
