Electronic Arts stated that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 video game has sold more than 2.3 million units. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 went on sale on March 2nd on the Playstation 3, PC and Xbox 360.

This is all great news for EA who have laid off about 15 percent of their staff in the past couple of quarters.

Of course, EA faces stiff competition this month. Sony’s God of War III launched for the PlayStation 3 this week, Nintendo has a bunch of new titles coming, and BioShock 2 from Take-Two Interactive is also selling well. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has an average review score of 89 on review aggregator Metacritic.com.
