If you have a Sony Playstation 3 and you would like to switch from an AV cord to a HDMI cord to have the best video Playstation 3 experience then read on. Electronics and the Sony PS 3 accessories may be confusing at times, but the Playstation 3 video games are fun to play.

• First, make sure your television has an HDMI hook up. If it does, then great, you can do this. Disconnect the AV cords and connect the HDMI cords to your TV. Make sure your TV is on the right channel so that you get the best video Playstation 3 experience. Dealing with electronics may be easier than you think.

• Make sure you didn’t leave any Playstation 3 accessories, such as video games or movies, in the console. If you try to do this with a Playstation 3 game or movie in the Sony PS3 you will likely have problems getting this to work. Make sure your video game console is on standby. Press and hold the power button until you hear it beep twice. This should take about 8 seconds.

• Your Sony Playstation 3 should now determine what the resolution is (720i 720p 1080i ect). The electronic video game unit should now ask you if you would like to be at the highest resolution.
