Good Old Games Come Back to Life

PC 3 February 2010 | 0 Comments | 26 views

The idea of good old games coming back to life can be seen in two ways. For one it can be seen as breathing new life into games, old favorites that just keep coming back, in one word, classic. These games have a special place in our gaming memories as games we loved, and games we wish we could play again. That’s where the second idea for good old games comes in, it’s an entire network of old games ready for you to download and play for low prices, but with all the fun you remember when you first played them.

The Good Old Games network looks to help gamers relive their experiences without having to purchase physical media, but rather download some of their favorites straight to their computer, all DRM free. Included in the network are games like Myst, Arcanum, Fallout, Duke Nukem, Heroes of Might and Magic I, II, and III to name a few. These games are available for prices as low as $5.99 and up. Some of these games you can’t even find anymore, so the network  has set itself up as a way to help the entities still make some money off these old games, but by also allowing users to download the content as use as they wish.

Combing through the catalog you’re sure to find some titles you might remember (if you’ve been gaming for awhile). Let us know what you think. There’s no subscription service, no hidden fees, buy the game and download it. Simple. Easy. Fun.

Catch the entire interview with Good Old Games creators as they share their vision with bringing this project to life.
