Final Fantasy XIII – 3 Discs on Xbox 360
So we all knew this day would come. No matter what generation system you’re on, there’s always that game that breaks the mold for games. Typically it’s been Final Fantasy games, which have gone multiple discs. We’ve seen other games follow suit, but it’s almost expected for Final Fantasy to push the limits of physical media storage.
It has recently been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will span three discs upon its release on the Xbox 360. The same cannot be said for the PS3 which will be only on singular Blue Ray Disc. The difference is in the media format that each is relying on, there are no extra being released on either system to account for the extra discs.
Gamers will fall into one of two camps, one being of the mindset that multiple discs is not a problem as long as the experience is fun, the game transitions smoothly and the breaks come in appropriate parts of the game. The other camp has the mindset of hating games that come in multiple discs, feeling the time it takes to change discs removes the player from the experience all together. Personally it seems silly to me to for anyone to be upset over the extra discs. Older PC games required changing of multiple CD and then DVD’s in order to continue a game, and the comfort of past games being on one disc only has made us lazy for the silliest of things.
So what’s your take? Do multiple game discs take you out of the experience or do you not care? Let us know in the comments below!

I feel as though the idea of changing disks makes the experience better. i mean when you play the game and it tells you to switch the next dis, it makes you feel accomplished, that you almost beat the game. The graphics in final fantasy XIII are amazing, and i dont mind changing discs, because the graphics are worth it. Although. I am having a little problem with the second disc from Final Fantasy not working, i cant continue the progress I have made from the first disk. Can anyone help me?
