I have no idea if I like the idea of a Star Trek MMO, Especially considering all the series continuity has been wiped out by the latest movie. Despite that my nerdic instincts tell me that there is some potential here and since Star Trek Online is set 30 years after the events of Star Trek : Nemesis, I can assume they’re ignoring Spock’s time-travelling escapades.
So the video? It doesn’t show much, but it does bolster the rumour that you will be a captain of your own ship and get to lead away missions.

Say what you will but regardless, they did for all intents and purposes, completely erase the last 43 years of Star Trek from existence.
