As you may expect the game is based very loosely on Dante’s Inferno, the first part of The Divine Comedy. I have supplied links if you wish to know more about Visceral Games’ inspiration.

It does make me wonder though, Do they plan to make this into a trilogy, continuing with on into Purgatorio and Paradiso?
