Screw The Beatles! That might sound harsh and I Like The Beatles as much as the next guy, I really do, but as a fan of the Guitar Hero/Rockband games nothing could sound less exciting than having to go through 55 Beatles songs.

I realise I am only gonna get flak for this.

Think about it, how many Beatles songs do you ACTUALLY like? how many are on your IPod? There a few, granted, but do you know what else I have on my IPod? Loads of other stuff because I couldn’t listen to ONLY the beatles. After awhile they sound a bit, dare I say, samey.

Now, I’ve watched the videos and the whole harmony thing is nice, useless, but nice. Since it’s hard enough  inding anyone willing to sing when I play theses games atthe best of times. Finding 3 seems bloody impossible.

Rock Hero is about progression. We may start out with  ‘I wanna be sedated’ and ‘I love Rock & Roll’ but dammit when i reach the end of the game I expect a face melter like ‘Through the Fires and Flames’. Of course I wouldn’t want a Dragonforce themed Guitar Band game either. That’d be much worse and it wouldn’t have the whole Nostalgfest thing his game has going for it.

This is the main thing i like about this game. Nostalgia. So why pick a band who, although has a fantastic set list, isnt that technically varied? Maybe i’m wrong, maybe they haven’t sacrificed gameplay for sales but they could of had both.
