Remember that scene in Final Fantasy VII where to get into Don Corneo’s Mansion you had to dress him up as a lady? Apparently he was convincing too but i’m not sure if that’s a good enough reason to superimpose him on to Final Fantasy 13′s new protagonist Lightning.

I wasn’t the only one to notice this and when asked about this Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase said this.

“There might be some very superficial similarities in that Cloud and Lightning are really cool and composed characters, and also they both have a military background. Those are the only two things that are really similar about them.

“Otherwise, if you really get to know Lightning, she has a totally different story. Once you play the game you’ll find out more about her.”

Now that’s all fair enough but take a look at this.

Wow. Tweak the nose, clip back the ears, pump up the lips slightly and new hair of course and POOF! New Character, Like magic.
